Many years of experience have taught us that getting up-to-date, practical information is the key to getting better after brain injury.  People with brain injury and family members often have important questions about the effects of injury, the types of rehabilitation services available, and how to get better, especially when resources are limited.  Hoping to provide the highest quality services, professionals often ask similar questions.

For the past two decades, the National Resource Center for Traumatic Brain Injury (NRCTBI) has worked to develop helpful information for the brain injury community.  Our earliest efforts focused on developing audiotapes, videotapes, newsletters, and evaluation tools.  Product development has emphasized team efforts, which include consumers and professionals.

With your support, the NRCTBI has been growing.  In the past two years, we've developed the Practical Ideas Series, a group of texts focused on living and working productively, family needs, resources, and rehabilitation practice.  With positive feedback from our audiences, we are now developing, sponsoring, and providing training workshops.  For example, during the past two years, the NRCTBI has been a co-sponsor of the annual conference on Rehabilitation of the Adult and Child with Brain Injury, held in Williamsburg, VA.  NRCTBI faculty have also given workshops at state and national Brain Injury Association meetings.  More recently, NRC TBI has given workshops at the request of professional organizations for psychologists, social workers, and rehabilitation counselors.

We are pleased to announce that NRC TBI faculty members are available to provide lectures and workshops for your organization.  Our workshops have ranged in length from several hours to several days.  We are committed to providing a training experience offering practical information to meet the learners' specific needs.
